Google-rific

Last weekend I attended a Google workshop. Have you taken advantage of the Google Docs applications, yet? You can create word docs, spreadsheets and presentations online.
  • During the workshop, several of us typed our notes on a shared Google word doc.
  • One session leader created a form and projected our responses 'live' on the screen.

Today I created a 'sign-up' form for our teachers so they could choose a specific time for software training. The form generates a confirmation e-mail to the teacher and I receive an e-mail notification of the new submission. Google puts the form results in a spreadsheet which you can edit, export to excel or publish as a web page.

One freshmen science class will use Google word doc for sharing notes while they research their topic.
